Once Existed
FADE IN:
INT. CLUB HOUSE - DAY
PETER reads newspaper articles featuring photos of sakura blossoms.
PETER (V.O.)
Yes, sakura blossoms
can still be seen in
Northern Honshu.
For those I saw in Tokyo
in early April, their
patels must have all
fallen onto the nullah
water.
Peter then browses some demonstration photos.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
Years ago on copyright,
I was also a target although
my intention was to
encourage Hongkongers
to be creators rather than
copy cats.
Peter turns to the back page of a newspaper with photos depicting festive celebrations.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
Why do the worshipers
believe the Goddess
can protect them? How
do we understand our
lives?
INT - STUDY - DAY
Peter works on his computer.
PETER (V.O.)
But our existence is
primal before we can
ponder our essence.
Some do need some
super beings to protect
them.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
Only when we live can
we consider our essence-
what and who do we
want to be? And what
paths should we take?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
We might be guided to
take a certain path,
believing the world and
us are created for a
reason. Life's easy.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
Or we might take life
as it is, without attributing
any human values other
than the fact the we can
procreate. Life's also
easy.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
If we exercise our freedom
to bring about the kind
of universal or absolute
values we accept, such
as law, order and justice,
we've to be mindful that
we live and let live.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
If we just follow certain
authorities without any
independent thinking,
we might be fooling ourselves or be used
by other influencers
who might not have
the right solution to
the problem.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
Take my life value on
creativity as an example.
If we don't stop copying,
how can we be creative?
To be creative, however,
is hard, making life difficult
to many. Years ago, some
fake creators wanted the
copyright law to condone
copying - using law to
cover their short-sighted
judgmental value -
legitimizing their own
morality.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
It's the populist kind of fake
analytics that no public legal
policy makers in their right
minds could accept.
Peter takes a look of the blog post's featured photo.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
Like the Sakura patels, my
life is as light as feather.
Like the Sakura blossoms,
my life is fleeting away.
Sitting in a chair, Peter attempts to stand up with one leg and succeeds without any hiccup.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd) It might be that I can
still move around on
my own in the next 10.
years. Like the Sakura
pink, life has been
colourful to me, but
it will fade.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd)
In essence, I just live
every day as the last day
of my life now - in my
own meaningful way. It's
wonderful that I, chose
my own English name
as Peter, once existed!
A message popped up on the computer screen: "Your storage is low on space".
FADE OUT. The End
